How do I submit a new environmental
issue
report?
Click the green "+ Report Issue" button in the top navigation
bar. Fill in the category (Garbage, Plastic, Water, etc.), add a photo or description, pin
the
location on the map, and set the priority.
Why is my report showing "In Progress"
but
no update from the team?
In Progress means a moderator or field officer has picked up
the
issue for review. Resolution timelines depend on priority. You can track status in real
time from your report detail page.
How do I access the Admin
Dashboard?
The Admin Dashboard is accessible only to Super Admins and
Moderators. Click the "Admin" button in the top navigation.
How do I download or share a community
certificate?
Go to Certificate → View Certificates, find your certificate
by
name or ID, and click the download icon to save as PDF. Each certificate includes a QR
code
for instant verification.

The Live Map
The Live Map is the core of the platform. It clusters environmental issues submitted by users into interactive zones. Filter by category or by status: Open, In Progress, Resolved.
💡 Pro Tip: Heatmaps
Zoom out on the Live Map to automatically trigger the Heatmap view. Incredibly useful for admins trying to identify high-density problem areas across the city.

Community Feed
Switch to the Community Feed for a social-style timeline. Upvote issues reported by others. Issues with high upvotes are automatically escalated in priority for the admin team.

Tap + Report Issue or open the app. Select "Create a free account." Sign up with your mobile number or Google account.

Enter the 6-digit OTP sent to your phone. OTPs expire in 10 minutes. Google sign-in skips this step automatically.

Set your home area
Allow location permission or manually select your ward/locality. This personalises your Community Feed and Live Map view.

Your account is ready. Tap + Report Issue to file your first civic issue in under 60 seconds.

Filing a civic issue takes less than a minute. Clear photos and accurate location pins lead to faster resolution times.

Pick a category
Select the most specific category that matches your issue. This routes it to the right department automatically. If unsure, choose Other and describe in the notes field.

Pin your location
The app pre-fills your GPS coordinates. Drag the pin on the mini-map to the exact spot within 10 metres. Accurate pins reduce back-and-forth with field teams by up to 40%.

Upload a photo
A photo is required for all reports. Take it from 1-2 metres away in good light. Accepts JPEG/PNG up to 10 MB.
💡 Capture context
Include a landmark or street sign in the frame. It helps field teams locate the issue even when GPS drifts near tall buildings.

Submit and track
Your report appears on the Live Map within 30 seconds. You will receive push notifications as the status moves from Open to In Progress to Resolved.

Escalation rules
Any issue stuck in Open for more than 7 days is automatically escalated to senior admins. Issues with 50+ upvotes jump to the top of the queue regardless of age.
💡 Community role
Upvotes from Verified Reporters count 2x more than standard accounts when calculating queue priority.

Filters help you focus on what matters, whether you are a citizen checking your street or an admin managing an entire ward.

Category filter
Open the filter drawer (funnel icon, top-right of map). Toggle any category on or off. Multiple categories can be active simultaneously.

Show only Open, In Progress, or Resolved pins. Combining Status and Category filters is the fastest way to audit your ward backlog.

Date range
Use the date picker to see issues filed in a custom window. Last 7 days, 30 days, or any custom range. Ideal for monthly reports and ward council presentations.

Heatmap mode
Zoom to city level to automatically switch from individual pins to a colour-density heatmap. Red = highest density. Great for spotting neglected neighbourhoods.
💡 Save filter presets
Admins can save filter combinations as Presets using the star icon in the filter drawer.

Suspend vs. Ban
A suspension is temporary (1-30 days) and auto-lifts on the chosen date. A ban is permanent and requires Super Admin approval. Both send the user an automated notice.

Select multiple users via checkbox, then use the Actions dropdown to send a broadcast message, change roles, or export a CSV, all in a single step.

Go to Admin → Users → [select user] → Award Certificate. Choose a template, add a personal note, and confirm. The certificate appears on their profile within seconds.

Posting monthly certificate announcements in the Community Feed increases report submissions by an average of 23% in the following week.
